Link for New Post didn't work
Sorry, guys. I had to delete it.
I got on the internet this morning, clicked on my bookmark link to Our Kitchen Table, clicked on Create a New Post and it said, "The blog you are looking for could not be found" and it gave me a button that said, "Go back to Dashboard" I clicked on the button and it took me straight to my dashboard with full access to everything I have on Blogger. And I hadn't signed in! I was just viewing the blog like any other heyseed on the world wide web could and I was given full access to my dashboard. That's not going to work.
I deleted it off my blog and Niki, I deleted it from yours also.
There is supposed to be a way to make that link conditional, so that only certain people ( like only members of a Team Blog) can even see the link, but I havent' figured out how to do that. So until I figure that out, we'll have to create new posts the old fashioned way.
Sorry : (

I am shocked! Shocked, I tell ya! Jeri, made a mistake! She should be taken out and flogged! What a disapointment! Man what is the younger generation coming too?...
On second thought, since I have no idea as to how to do it myself, maybe we should cut her some slack and allow her time to get it right. Yah! that is the ticket. Keeps the onus off of us and on her! TEE HEE!
Keep trying Jeri it will come. You have taken it farther than any of us could have.

onus 1 a burden, unpleasant duty, etc. 2 blame
I had to look that one up. Gee thanks for the onus, Neal. : )
I know the "Create a New Post" link wasn't up very long, but if anyone happened to use it, could you tell me whether it worked or not and what it did when you clicked on it?
I was going to delete the 101 team blog, but I decided to keep it up so I could experiment with templates and html and not have to worry to much about screwing something up. My way of avoiding that flogging you were talking about. Hopefully I can figure it out and have the link back up before long.

I recall that it was working ok for me. When I clicked on it I was able to comment without a problem. I think that I had to log in to publish it. What may have happened to you is that you had told it to remember you and it did. Not sure. If you play with it on the other site you will come up with enough comfort to make it usable.
You may notice that I have not put links on our site to all of the other sites. The reason is that our site is out there far and wide and is being hit by many strangers. Don't think I want to bring all of that down on the rest of the family.

Jeri, I used the link to post the "Everything is working" post that I did on the 22nd. The first time I did it I got the message you said you got and the Go to Dashboard link. If I remember right,I think it was because I hadn't accepted the invitation to this blog and I wasn't allowed to post. Once I did that I was able to use the link and it took me to where is was intended to. Hopefully this information is helpful.
Okay, I think what happened is, I clicked on the New Post link and it sent me to a page asking for my username and password. Then, I guess, it forgot where I was wanting to go and sent me back to the username and password page. I, therefore, didn't think I had signed on, but apparently I had. I clicked on my bookmark, went to the blog and tried it again, this time it gave me access to my dashboard. It had me a little worried.
I messed with the link most of the day yesterday and it never let me in without being logged on. So thats good news. The link works great works great if you are already logged on. It may take you on a wild goose chase if you aren't logged on when you click on it, but I don't think there is any security problem, so I'm adding it back on.
Sorry for all the confusion,
Jeri
